Hey there! I'm Shyla Michelle, the founder, owner & CEO of our small family business!
I spent my professional life as a trial attorney. It was never my plan to start a breathable bedding, bath & resort wear company!
But necessity is the mother of invention! After too many sleepless nights suffering from unbearable night sweats, after my second son was born, I realized I needed one of his breathable muslin swaddle blankets as my comforter. They didn't exist. I had a prototype made, and after my first night of sleep with it, I knew I had an obligation to make this available to everyone. Everyone deserves to sleep better!

Our founder, Shyla, searched high and low for an American manufacturer to no avail. Originally the only manufacturer she could find to create the blankets in the extra large sizes was in China. However, she didn’t rest until she moved production out of China and into the hands of a small family manufacturer in India (the actual birthplace of muslin fabric)!
In 2022, Shyla and her family attended the ribbon cutting at the newly built warehouse exclusively for Muslin Comfort in India and attended the wedding of our manufacturer’s oldest son. Shyla continues to be very hands on and works with our manufacturer weekly to see her ongoing vision for the brand come to life.
