For generous King coverage
The Muslin Comfort King 365 Blanket measures 120" × 120". That extra width and length provide substantially more material to work with than a blanket sized only slightly larger than the top surface of the mattress.
The Muslin Comfort Size Guide
A blanket can technically be labeled King or Queen and still leave you wishing for more coverage. The right blanket size depends on your mattress width, mattress depth, desired overhang, and how you actually sleep.
365 Blanket Dimensions
Our 365 Blankets are intentionally oversized to provide more usable coverage across the top, sides, and foot of the bed.
| Blanket Size | 365 Blanket Dimensions | Recommended For |
|---|---|---|
| King / Cal King | 120" × 120" | King and California King beds |
| Queen | 110" × 110" | Queen beds or King sleepers wanting less drape |
| Full | 96" × 96" | Full / Double beds |
| Twin | 71" × 96" | Twin and Twin XL beds |
King Size Beds
A standard King mattress is approximately 76 inches wide and 80 inches long before accounting for mattress depth. That means the blanket has to cover the mattress itself plus enough fabric to hang down both sides.
The Muslin Comfort King 365 Blanket measures 120" × 120". That extra width and length provide substantially more material to work with than a blanket sized only slightly larger than the top surface of the mattress.
The 120" × 120" King 365 Blanket also works beautifully on a California King. Because the blanket is square, you have generous dimensions in both directions and can orient it however you prefer.
The Easy Way to Calculate It
Start with the width of your mattress. Then add the amount of blanket you want hanging down each side.
A King mattress is approximately 76" wide. If you want about 20" of blanket hanging down each side:
A Common Bedding Problem
Mattress labels describe the mattress—not how much fabric you want hanging over the sides. Mattress depth, two people sharing the covers, movement during sleep, and personal preference can all make a blanket feel much smaller once you actually use it.
Modern mattresses can be surprisingly thick. The deeper the mattress, the farther your blanket has to travel before it reaches the visible side of the bed.
Two people pulling, rolling, and moving under the same blanket can quickly use up the available width. Extra blanket width gives both sleepers more room.
A blanket may technically fit across the mattress while still leaving little usable drape along the sides.
Two blankets labeled the same bed size can have dramatically different actual dimensions and bed coverage.
Queen Size Beds
A standard Queen mattress is approximately 60" × 80". The Muslin Comfort Queen 365 Blanket measures 110" × 110", providing considerably more room for side and foot coverage.
The square dimensions give you generous coverage in either orientation and make the Queen a substantial option for sleepers who dislike narrow blankets.
Yes. If you have a King mattress but prefer less side drape, the 110" × 110" Queen 365 Blanket can work well. Many sleepers intentionally choose a smaller 365 Blanket because even our Queen is generously sized.
Full & Twin Beds
The Full 365 Blanket is designed for generous coverage on a Full or Double mattress while maintaining the oversized feel that defines the 365 Blanket.
The Twin 365 Blanket provides generous coverage for Twin beds and can also work well on Twin XL mattresses because of its 96-inch length.
Choosing Your Fit
Not automatically. Because Muslin Comfort blankets are already intentionally oversized, choosing the size that matches your mattress usually provides generous coverage. In some situations, you may even prefer to size down.
You love generous drape, share the bed with another sleeper, have a deep mattress, or simply never want to fight over the covers.
You prefer less fabric hanging around the bed. For example, some King-bed owners choose our oversized Queen because 110" × 110" can still provide substantial coverage.
More Blanket. More Coverage.
King up to 120" × 120", Queen 110" × 110", Full 96" × 96", and Twin 71" × 96". Choose the coverage that fits how you sleep.
